About Vusacare

Residential nursing care in Wakefield.

Who we are

What we will not do on a website

Vusacare Ltd is registered for residential nursing care facilities (SIC 87100) and is registered at Blackthorn Way in Wakefield.

Residential nursing care is a regulated activity under the Health and Social Care Act 2008. In England it may be provided only by a provider registered with the Care Quality Commission for that activity, with a registered manager in post, and it is a criminal offence to carry it on without that registration. Nursing care also means care involving a registered nurse - a title protected in law and held only by a person on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register.

That is why this website is careful. We do not publish a CQC rating here, we do not reproduce quotes from an inspection report, and we do not use words like “outstanding” as marketing. If you want to know how a provider is performing, the register and the full report are public, free, independent and more use than anything a provider writes about itself.

We also do not give clinical or medical advice through this website, and we do not take placements through a web form. A move into nursing care should follow a proper assessment of what somebody actually needs, a visit, and a written contract that sets out plainly what is included and what is charged.

What we will say is this: ask us difficult questions, ask them of the staff rather than only the manager, visit at a time of your choosing, and raise a concern the moment you have one. A home that handles that badly is telling you something important.
